The Cans Festival

From the 3rd-5th May 2008 Banksy took over the Leake Street tunnel in London for his Cans Festival show. He invited street artists from all over the world to come and paint the tunnel. Artists included the likes of Dolk, Mr. Brainwash, Eine, Blek Le Rat and many others.

There was also a public graffiti area where members of the public could bring along their own stencils and have a go at painting. The tunnel still exists although much of the graffiti has now been painted over. Banksy later used the part of the tunnel for the premier of his movie Exit Through the Gift Shop.
