Banksy vs Bristol Museum

In 2009 Banksy took over Bristol Museum for his first exhibit in his home town, running through July and August 2009.

Banksy placed over 100 of his artworks and installations amongst the museum's permanent exhibits. There were animatronics, vandalised oil paintings and a "Paint-pot angel" sculpture which was left for the museum.
